
Maintenance Technician temporary

This position is important to our residents to help their home function properly and safely.
Shift Details:
We are currently searching for a Maintenance Technician to assist with the following shift: day shift. This is a temporary position lasting approximately 3 months by best current estimate. Will be in on call rotation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all residents, resident family members, and associates.
- Maintain a high degree of resident, family and guest satisfaction and retention through consistent delivery of high-quality services.
- Effectively and appropriately communicate with each co-worker and community leader.
- Maintain a positive image with the community.
- Maintain a clean and safe bus or other community vehicle and a log of travels.
- Observe all federal/state/city speed and safety regulations and company customer service and safety policies.
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the property-specific metropolitan area.
- Move furniture, equipment, and assist residents with moving needs as assigned.
- Assist with grounds care as necessary, such as weeding in the summer or snow removal in the winter.
- Perform work orders as assigned, including minor building and equipment repairs and log completion.
- Complete unit turns within timeframe set by the supervisor.
- Complete and adhere to all other tasks and responsibilities set by the direct supervisor.

- Additional various daily duties may be assigned such as emptying trash in some areas, watering, safety checks, etc.
Qualifications, skills, and abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to physically meet the demands of maintenance position and work with a sense of urgency.
- Experience with performing basic building and equipment repairs and upkeep.
- Be able to perform work orders and log completion into electronic system.
- Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Communicate in English clearly and courteously with our residents and fellow staff
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, appliances, HVAC, drywall repair, painting, carpentry, etc.
